Chelsea eye deal for Remy after Drogba injury

Chelsea are understood to have made a shock enquiry for Queens Park Rangers striker, Loic Remy, after Didier Drogba picked up an ankle injury in pre-season.

The Ivorian has been rumoured to be out for six months and Jose Mourinho is eyeing a deal for Remy, who was set for a €10m move to Liverpool, until the Anfield club claimed he failed his medicals.

Mourinho had previously declared that his summer spending was over, after he also brought in Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid, but Drogba’s injury leaves only Costa and Fernando Torres, as the Blues’ senior strikers.
